Six Flags Magic Mountain reopened X2 on May 24th 2008 to the general public. They renovated its previous counterpart (X) with 10 million dollars worth of enhancements. They added speakers (among other things) to the seats which play a medley of songs during the ride, including (but not limited to) Frank Sinatra - It Had To Be You, Metallica - Enter Sandman, Ozzy Osborne - Crazy Train, Rage Against The Machine - Wake Up, and others. Unfortunately due to speed of the coaster, the majority of the music is not heard in the recording. Alongside the music, sound effects were also added. A beating heart beat can be heard as you are about to take the first drop. The ride feels a lot smoother to its previous counterpart, but still delivers the excitement with it too. All the additional elements of the renovation definitely give it a different experience.

First-Person view on Goliath at Six Flags over Georgia. I was very lucky on this day (18 June 2008) the park was very sparsely populated and I was able to ride 4 times. I am really pleased with the way this video turned out. It is the best one I filmed that day in terms of stability and smoothness. The gay guys riding next to me greatly added to the video's entertainment value, too!
